Housing

PERMANENT HOUSING

Veterans in need who have had a hard time keeping stable home can turn to the Customized Veterans Group for assistance. Disablement, serious mental illness and/or substance misuse disorders, depression, traumatic brain damage, and post-traumatic stress disorder are all possible for veterans taking part in these programs. This program helps veterans who have been homeless for an extended period of time but have not been successful in applying to other types of housing programs.

Permanent housing aims to reduce chronic homelessness among veterans who are dealing with a variety of serious issues. Permanent housing helps homeless veterans by providing them with a place to live that is both inexpensive and stable, as well as case management services to help them establish healthy habits and a routine that will set them up for a successful reintegration into society. The ability to secure gainful job and resume other essential daily activities is essential to regaining full social and occupational health. Participants in the program are provided with their own rooms or flats. Places for gathering and mingling can be found in the common areas. When the weather is nice, veterans can also use the outside gathering spaces.

Everyone who seeks our services is unsuccessful in finding gainful employment. Another objective is to help veterans apply for and secure permanent homes and reliable income. Social security, disability, Veteran’s benefits, pensions, and other sources of income may be considered.

Having a place to call home that is free of clutter and substance abuse is something we strongly advocate for. Everybody has regular obligations that help build a sense of belonging, cooperation, and accountability. We observed that the success rate of veterans keeping their housing increased dramatically when they committed to these lifestyle adjustments.

During business hours, clinical staff is available to provide care. Staff referrals to other community agencies allow clients to gain access to even more services.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING

For the most difficult-to-assist homeless veterans, the Customized Veterans Group offers a 60-day housing transition program.

There’s a chance this assignment might go on for another two years. Veterans who are chronically homeless and resistant to services are the focus of the Transitional Housing program. The “hardest of the hard” are the target audience for this initiative, which aims to provide individuals with a way in to systems they may have previously resisted or been unable to benefit from.

These veterans, who are notoriously difficult to help, can use the time they spend in the program as residents to hone the social and coping skills they’ll need to stay sober and make the most of the programs available to them. These hard-to-reach homeless veterans have a better chance of finding permanent housing and reintegrating into society as productive members if they are accepted into and actively participate in the Transitional Housing Program.

While participating in the Transitional Housing Program or visiting the Drop-In Center, veterans have access to a wide range of services. During business hours, clinical staff is available to provide care. Staff referrals to other community agencies allow clients to gain access to even more services.

Healthcare

Technology is being integrated into every step of the healthcare process at CUSTOMIZED VETERANS GROUP to ensure that Veterans receive the quickest and highest quality care possible. Veterans can now receive care that is more accessible and focused on their individual needs because to technological advancements. This includes telehealth systems that allow Veterans to get care from the comfort of their own homes or other locations of their choosing, as well as electronic health records that can be accessed from anywhere.

The mission of CUSTOMIZED VETERANS GROUP is to help America’s military veterans regain control of their lives by improving their physical and mental health. When we treat the whole person, rather than simply the sickness or symptom, we can provide for the Veteran’s current health requirements while also taking into account the Veteran’s preferences and aspirations.

Our Veterans’ health and happiness have already been significantly improved by our comprehensive health care system. However, we need to do more by exploring new avenues for Whole Health’s growth. We owe it to our Veterans and to our goal to do more for them.

Every single suicide by a veteran is a tragedy. Incalculable suffering is caused, and many people have felt it firsthand. The prevention of Veteran suicide is our top clinical objective, and this goal will require a comprehensive public health strategy that integrates community and clinician-based treatments.

VA’s suicide prevention initiatives, such as Suicide Prevention (SP) 2.0 and SP Now, are based on the National Strategy for Preventing Veteran Suicide, VA and DoD clinical practice recommendations, and the White House Strategy on Reducing Military and Veteran Suicide. Help us reach Veterans and lower Veteran suicide rates by partnering with us and other interested parties and communities. We will never stop trying to prevent Veteran suicide, but we need your help to win this war.
